Marshall elected County of Grande Prairie Reeve

For the first time since 2012, the County of Grande Prairie has a new Reeve.

Division 5 councillor Bob Marshall was elected by his fellow council members to take over the Reeve position during County council’s organizational meeting Monday morning.

Marshall, who has represented the area that includes Beaverlodge and Albright since 2013, replaces Leanne Beaupre as reeve.

Beaupre has held the Reeve’s position for the past decade and will continue in her duties as Division 3 councillor after deciding not to seek re-election as Reeve.

Division 6 councillor Peter Harris was re-elected as Deputy Reeve, a position he has held since October 2019.
