EnerCorp supporting next generation of trades students
EnerCorp is supporting the welders of tomorrow by donating a $1,500 Rod-Oven to Charles Spencer High School’s fabrication lab.
Haille O’Toole, a student at Charles Spencer, was creating her project when she realized the weld she was trying to produce, would not work with the machine they currently had.
Her teacher, Joe LaValley expanded in a news release.
“At that time, she was attempting to use a 7018 rod, and we noticed that the flux was crumbling and the weld was not flowing as it should. It was a good teaching moment. I told her that we do not have a rod oven and that for this rod to perform properly, its exposure to moisture needs to be controlled.”
