Free public skate Sunday afternoon at Design Works Centre

The public is invited to the Design Works Centre for a free public skate taking place Sunday, December 18.

From 2:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., people can come to the arena and go for a skate, have a snack, and help collect toys for a fundraiser.

The City of Grande Prairie is hosting the free skate as a part of the naming rights agreement for the Industrial Metalwork Arena in the facility.

During the event, staff from Industrial Metalwork will be serving soup, sandwiches, and hot chocolate as well as collecting toys for a fundraiser.

The City said in a release; naming rights partnerships create a positive impact and help promote active lifestyles in the community.
