“Women of Steel” program is coming to NWP

A program aimed at women interested in exploring welding and other welding-related skilled trades is coming to Northwestern Polytechnic’s Fairview campus.

The CWB Welding Foundation’s “The Women of Steel: Forging Forward” program lasts twelve weeks and provides learning opportunities that foster education, personal growth, confidence, and experience-based learning.

NWP is one of fourteen locations across the country that have been selected to offer the program, which begins February 27 and runs until June 16.

Women participating in the course will receive practical theory, hands-on welding training, and skill development.

There will also be short training periods during which participants will get to train in several welding processes, and have the chance to earn multiple CWB welding qualifications in various positions.
