Former city councillor officially the NDP candidate in Grande Prairie for the provincial election
Alberta’s New Democrats have officially picked Kevin McLean to be the party’s candidate in Grande Prairie for the May 29 provincial election.
The party said this in a news release on Friday. A nomination meeting had been scheduled for April 30.
McLean has served two terms on city council plus ran in past elections as a Liberal.
“People in Grande Prairie deserve a stable, competent, and caring government. After four years of chaos from Danielle Smith and the UCP, they are ready for a change. As part of an Alberta NDP government led by Rachel Notley, I am confident I can represent the interests of people in Grande Prairie and ensure this community thrives,” says McLean in a release from the NDP.
