GP Grows: Dig It set to return
The City says it is excited to announce the return of the GP Grows Dig It program, following positive community feedback last year.
The city’s Jessica Ross said in a release, “Gardening not only brings joy and satisfaction but also empowers individuals to grow their own fresh produce. The GP Grows: Dig It program provides residents with the resources and guidance needed to start their own garden at home.”
Residents can stop by the Grande Prairie Activity and Reception Centre, on May 6 from Noon to 4 p.m. to pick up free supplies, including seeds for a variety of plants, beets, carrots, potatoes, radishes, and onions, along with triple mix soil.
City staff will also be on-site, giving tips on how to best start an at-home garden, and no pre-registration is required as it’s first come first serve.
