Evacuation order expanded in the MD of Greenview

An evacuation order in the MD of Greenview has been expanded.
It is now in effect in the area from Highway 49/Range Road 222 south to Township Road 700, west to Range Road 240 and north to Township Road 722.
This includes Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.
The alert says the Sturgeon Complex fire is burning west-northwest of Valleyview and, given the worsening weather conditions, everyone in the area must leave now.
There is a reception centre set up at the Bonnetts Energy Centre in Grande Prairie.
