Little Buffalo under mandatory evacuation

At approximately 10:15 p.m. on June 30, the Kee Tas Kee Tribal Council issued a mandatory evacuation order for the Hamlet of Little Buffalo.

There are several evacuation zones and residents of the area are asked to follow the direction of emergency responders and are reminded to not take cut lines or back roads to evacuate as the fire may change directions.

RCMP and other emergency responders went door to door to notify residents of evacuation and the event is still unfolding and updates will be given when available.
