Direct Energy announces rate increases

Calgary’s Direct Energy Services announced electricity rate increases for the month of August.

The company said in a release, they predict an increase of approximately 22 per cent, when compared to energy rates last month. (July)

A typical residential consumer using 600 kWh per month could see an increase of nine per cent, or $32.80 on their energy bills this month.
