Over 200 GPPSD students to receive filled backpacks from Tools 4 School

Following United Way Alberta Northwest’s annual Tools 4 School campaign, children around the greater Grande Prairie area will be receiving school supplies and stuffed backpacks to start the new academic year.

Through the generosity of the people and businesses of the Peace region, 223 children in the Grande Prairie Public School Division will be benefitting with a ready-to-learn backpack on the first day of school.

The GPPSD thanks those that supported the United Way Alberta Northwest Tools 4 School campaign in 2023, including corporate sponsors:

• Costco
• Neil & Associates
• Grande Prairie Auto Group
• Northwestern Alberta Foundation
• Swan City Rotary Club of Grande Prairie

People can still make monetary donations for the Tools 4 School campaign, as United Way Northwest received over 1,200 applications from parents with children needing their help across northwestern Alberta.
