Valleyview Health Centre ED without a doctor for 14 hours

The Valleyview Health Centre ED is experiencing a temporary disruption and will be without a doctor for 14 hours, starting this evening. (Monday, October 16)

From 5 p.m. until 7 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, any residents experiencing a medical emergency can still call 911, as EMS will be re-routing calls to neighboring facilities.

Nursing staff will also remain on-site to perform urgent triage, and assessments and refer patients to other facilities.

In the release, AHS thanked neighboring healthcare facilities for their support during this time, and said they are working hard to ensure residents have access to the care they need, in their community.
