Local RONA raises over $4,100 for Grande Prairie Women’s Residence Association

A nationwide campaign by the RONA Foundation has wrapped up and collected donations for local causes in 175 communities across Canada.

Grande Prairie’s RONA store was apart of the first ever “Home Sweet Home” campaign that ran from September 1 to October 9.

The local store, thanks to customers and employees, raised $4,108 to support the Grande Prairie Women’s Residence Association. Donations were also collected online.

The campaign raised over $730,000, all going to causes that revitalize living environments or make it easier to access housing for victims of domestic violence and their children, low-income families, and people with special needs or mental health issues.
