Fairview Health Complex ED without a physician from Thursday to Saturday

Alberta Health Services says the emergency department at the Fairview Health Complex will be without an on-site physician from 7 a.m. Thursday, November 30 until 7 a.m. Saturday, December 2.

Patients can still call 911 if they have an emergency as EMS is available and can be rerouted to a nearby hospital.

Nurses will be on-site in Fairview for triage and assessments.

Help with non-emergency calls is available by calling Health Link at 811 24/7.

AHS says disruptions like this would be cancelled if they are able to locate another physician to provide coverage.
