County appoints new General Manager, Financial & Business Planning Services

The County of Grande Prairie has announced who will take up the General Manager, Financial and Business Planning Services role.

Rob Beaupertuis was selected for the job, after previously serving as CAO at the Town of Placentia in Newfoundland and as Director of Services for Mountain View County.

The County highlighted Beaupertuis’s vast experience in the release; as he holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the Australian Institue of Business, a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Memorial University of Newfoundland, a Chartered Professional Account designation and experience in the oil and gas industry.

In the release, Joulia Whittleton, County Manager says “this role is an important one,” adding “we look forward to the expertise that Rob brings to the County as the new General Manager and express our appreciation to Mark Schonken, current General Manager, for the positive changes to the organization.”

Starting on January 29, he will be responsible for cash control, business advisory services, reporting assessments and financial service administration for the County.

In the same release, Beaupertuis discussed his new role saying, “I’m delighted to join the County and continue to build on previous successes and meet the challenges of the future with transparency in fiscal reporting and policy development.”
