Holy Family Catholic Regional Division responding to sexual offences charges against employee

Holy Family Catholic Regional Division is responding to the charges laid on an employee for sexual offences against a youth by McLennan RCMP.

HFCRD says the alleged incident which led to the charges against Brock Mackenzie Whalen did not take place during his time with the division, but that immediate action is being taken regardless.

Whalen has been placed on off-site unassigned duties with further action pending advice from legal counsel.

Whalen faces six charges including sexual assault, sexual interference and two counts of luring a child.

HFCRD says they are taking necessary steps to ensure the student’s safety and well-being, and that support services are available to students and families.
