Residents to share their ideas on regional transit in the county
Starting March 6, residents of the County of Grande Prairie are invited to attend open houses and complete an online survey to share their vision of a regional transit network to connect communities.
The Grande Prairie Regional Public Transportation Study is being done in partnership between the City and County of Grande Prairie and the Towns of Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, and Wembley.
The study will explore the regions existing various independent bus and shuttle transit routes, to develop a single service that’s more efficient, reliable, and convenient for users.
Director of Family and Community Support Services for the County Kathleen Turner says “We want to know how a more robust network can improve inter-community connectivity and make transit accessible to everyone in the region.”
