Beaverlodge ED without an onsite physician for 24 hours

The Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital Emergency Department will be without an onsite physician for 24 hours starting at 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 18.

During the closures, nursing staff will remain on-site to perform urgent triage, assessments and referrals to neighbouring facilities.

Any residents experiencing a medical emergency during the closure are still asked to contact 911, as EMS will be available and rerouting calls to nearby hospitals.

A doctor is expected to be back in the ED at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 19, or even earlier if coverage is found by AHS.
