City advising residents know their property line before cutting down trees

The City of Grande Prairie is reminding residents to know the location of their property lines when it comes to the placement and care of trees.
The City is recommending residents confirm the location of their property lines and where it divides with the boulevard are under the City’s responsibility.
Trees located on private land are the responsibility of the property owner and the City does not perform any maintenance, removal, or clean-up for them.
If residents have issues concerning trees that might be the City’s responsibility, they should contact Access GP first to confirm it before cutting any trees.
