Ontario sweeps gold medals at NAHC

One province won both gold medals at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships played in Grande Prairie.

Ontario beat Alberta 3-0 in the girl’s gold medal game Saturday at the Design Works Centre.

Ontario also won the boy’s gold medal, beating Saskatchewan 4-0 in the final.

Organizers cancelled both bronze medal games because of the smoky conditions on Saturday.

The Ontario girl’s team went unbeaten in their six games played throughout the tournament while the Ontario boys had only one loss in seven games.
