Jun 21, 2024 | 6:00 AM
June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day.
The day to celebrate the culture and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples is always held on, or close to, the summer solstice.
The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre will hold its 2nd Annual National Indigenous People’s Day Parade to mark the occasion.
It will start at 5 p.m. at 113 Avenue and 102 Street, go south and turn east onto 102 Avenue, then go to 101 Street and head south to the Bonnet’s Energy Centre.
