Saddle Hills County launching Alternative Land Use Services program
Saddle Hills County is launching a three-year trail for the ALUS program for resident producers.
Alternative Land Use Services helps farmers and ranchers build nature-based solutions to sustain agriculture for the benefit of their community.
Saddle Hills residents that participate in the program will receive professional support and an annual per acre payment to establish and maintain an ecological project.
The program will establish a local coordinator to work with Saddle Hills producers and establish ALUS projects that address environmental issues and restore difficult to farm lands into projects that generate a cleaner ecosystem.
