Reports of possible cat poisonings in Cardston
The Town of Cardston says it has received multiple reports of cats being poisoned in the community.
In a social media post, they say they can not confirm if these cases were intentional or accidental.
For instances where animal poisonings are intentional, people can face criminal charges for injuring or endangering other animals. Those found guilty could be in prison for up to five years or be fined a maximum of $10,000.
“Death by poisoning is a horrible fate for any animal and we are sorry to hear that people’s pets are suffering in this way,” says the Town of Cardston.
