City of Grande Prairie says a fire ban is still in effect

The City of Grande Prairie is reminding residents that a fire ban is still in effect for the City.
The City said yesterday’s (Thursday, July 25) rain was a “welcome relief” but conditions still remain hot and dry in some areas.
They add smoke may be a concern in the coming weeks, with some air quality advisories already in effect in some areas.
During times of elevated wildfire smoke in the air, they suggest limiting your outdoor activities, as even low concentrations are bad for your health.
