Dr. Bill Webster learned about grief not just in theory, but from painful personal experiences in the loss of his wife and his son.
One thing that caught him by surprise was that, all too quickly, people were saying, “Let the Healing begin.” But for him, the hurting had just begun. He discovered that with grief, first you HURT, then you HEAL.
Dr. Webster will share some of the strategies he utilized to get through his own grief process; together with some of the ways he was able to take a whole new look at life and how it can still be meaningful even after a loss.

Grief affects us in every aspect of life, including the workplace. Dr. Bill Webster has adapted and developed many principles in his work over 35 years as a grief counsellor and author. But there is a huge difference between the THEORY and the EXPERIENCE of grief.
While theory is important, he has discovered many important insights and strategies in his own experience since his son died tragically some years ago. He comes to share some of these understandings with us and offers a new paradigm of supporting people through the experiences of grief.
*This event is for doctors, nurses, clergy, pastoral workers, hospice workers, counsellors, and individuals working in the practice of caring for the bereaved. Members of the general public are encouraged to attend the Tuesday seminar. Attendance Certificates are available by request.
