WORK NOW Job Fair takes over the TARA Centre next week

Oct 25, 2024 | 6:00 AM

A free job fair will take over the Tara Centre at Evergreen Park next week.

WORK NW Alberta and the County of Grande Prairie Business Support Network (BSN) have partnered with many local businesses and entities to host the WORK NOW Job Fair.

Running out of the TARA Centre in Evergreen Park on Tuesday, October 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; the fair has been designed to “strengthen the workforce eco-system in Grande Prairie and the Greenview corridor,” by promoting the region’s workforce potential.

However. unlike traditional hiring events, “This job fair will highlight the available jobs in the area, along with the service providers and not-for-profit organizations dedicated to aiding the transition back into the workforce,” according to County of Grande Prairie Economic Development Officer, Hetti Huls.

To make this event as accessible as possible, the Chamber of Commerce has also arranged complimentary rides to and from the TARA Centre with Y-Drive and onsite child care from Care in A Pinch.
