CUPW pushing back on Canada Post statements
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers is calling statements from Canada Post “an outright misrepresentation.”
Canada Post has issued a news release saying the union had spent a weekend negotiating session talking about contracted facility cleaning services and other issues related to pay and benefits for future employees.
CUPW says in a release of its own, posted on its website, that its negotiators instead worked on a response to a proposal for Saturday delivery.
The release from the union says this would only be for part-time employees working an eight hour week, adding “Who can live on that?”
