Online collision reporting now available in Grande Prairie

Jan 20, 2025 | 11:46 AM

The City of Grande Prairie is encouraging residents to use its new online tool for reporting a collision.

Developed by the City, and Accident Support Services International Ltd.; this new initiative allows residents to fill out 85 per cent of a collision report, and send it directly to the Collision Reporting Centre, from their phone or computer.

The goal of the program is to reduce wait times at the CRC, and since it’s weeks of being implemented, Accident Support Services International Manager, Lisa Schettle says they have “already noticed shorter lines and reduced wait times.”

Once an online collision report is submitted, residents will need to visit the Collision Centre within 24 hours, to verify and finalize the report.

Schettle added, “This additional feature means fewer worries for drivers involved in a collision,” and “We’re grateful to have the already stressful situation of a collision made a little less stressful for drivers.”
