Bonanza students create new learning resource for hearing impaired classmates
Students at Bonanza School have completed a service project to benefit students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Peace Wapiti Public School Division says Grade 5 and 6 students created several sets of vocabulary cards with over 200 pictures, along with the sign language sign and the word to match.
The cards were made to assist Deaf and Hard Hearing Educator Amy Cornick who is working with two students with hearing challenges at Bonanza.
Five sets of cards were made, one to be left at Bonanza, and the others will be donated to Peace Collaborative Services for future use.
