Youth in custody after threatening TikTok regarding PRSD
An arrest was made yesterday (Thursday, May 7) in connection with online threats made towards Glenmary School and T.A. Norris School.
Around 4:30 pm, Mounties say a youth confessed to owning the TikTok account that posted the video and was taken into custody for uttering threats, with charges yet to be sworn.
They now remain in police custody waiting for a bail hearing, and RCMP note that they will remain nameless, due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Peace River RCMP Sergeant Brennan Willenborg thanked the public for their help so far; “The investigation is ongoing, and we intend to tie up any other investigative avenue before we conclude this file. Rest assured, we have taken this matter seriously from the start and will continue to closely monitor the situation.”
