Feb 11, 2019 | 8:12 AM

The Lil Oilers learn to play initiative has made its way to the Swan city and it all kicked off this past weekend.

The program, which is a collaboration with the NHL and NHLPA introduces youth aged four to eight to the sport of hockey.

Due to the success in Edmonton over the last two years, the initiative has expanded into Grande Prairie for the very 1st time.

The initiative provides free hockey gear, ice time and instruction to the children who take part in the program and is lead by former Edmonton Oiler Colin Frazer.
