The Alberta S-P-C-A says a third person is facing more than two dozen charges after three horses were found dead and others were found unwell on a property west of Edmonton.
Robert Hugh Cornell, who is 60, has been charged with nine counts each of causing an animal to be in distress, failing to provide food and water, and failing to provide adequate care when an animal is wounded or ill.
He is scheduled to appear in an Evansburg court on March 11.
Two others, Patricia Moore and Ross Atkinson, collectively face more than 100 charges related to the same case from January.
