Businesses, individuals saluted at Chamber awards

Some individuals and businesses have been saluted at the 2018 Chamber Member Awards, given out by the Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce.
 
This list of winners is from an email sent to us by the Chamber:
 
• Clem E. Collins Award (Chamber Volunteer) – Rob Petrone

• Business Citizen of the Year – Devco Developments

• Dan H. Minchin Award (Long-Term Member Business Achievement) – Al’s News

Long-time City Councillor and Downtown Association Manager Helen Rice was given the Above and Beyond Award. The Chamber says this is for  “an individual that has provided commendable community service that makes the community a better place to live and work.” 

Some other businesses were recognized as long-term members.

Quarter-century awards went to the County of Grande Prairie No. 1, Fabricland, Hotsy Pressure Wash Systems, and S&T Production Testing Ltd.

Cookshaw Electric: A Division of Kamwin Electric Ltd. and Windsor Ford were recognized as half-century members.

The awards were given out Friday.
