Storm bounce back against Bobcats

Feb 26, 2018 | 6:44 AM

The Grande Prairie Storm got back in the win column Sunday afternoon in Lloydminster as they knocked off the Bobcats 5-2.

The Storm would score two in the first, and three in the third in the win.

Dallas Comeau had a massive afternoon for the Storm in the victory.

He registered two goals and two assists to help lead the Storm to their 27th victory of the year.

Ethan Slobodzian also had a big afternoon for Grande Prairie as he stopped 35 of the 37 shots he faced.

With the win, the Storm improve to 27-27-3 on the year.

Following yesterday’s contest as well, the Storm now know who they will play in the first round of the playoffs as they will tangle with the Sherwood Park Crusaders.

However, home ice advantage has still yet to be determined.

Grande Prairie has a three-point advantage on the Crusaders with three games to go.

The earliest the Storm can clinch home ice in the first round would be on Wednesday.

For that to come to fruition, the Storm would need to pick up a win on Wednesday against the Spruce Grove Saints and have the Sherwood Park Crusaders lose to the Lloydminster Bobcats.

The Storm and Saints collide Wednesday at Revolution Place at 7:30 p.m.
