Senate 150 Medals to be handed out on Monday in Edmonton

A Grande Prairie resident and an organization will be receiving the Senate of Canada’s 150th Commemorative Medal on Monday (May 14).
Dennis Grant, who is 79, is one of seven Alberta residents and organizations to be given the award. He says he’s very humbled and honoured to be chosen.
He believes several factors played into him receiving a medal.
“I’ve been a Superintendent of the [Grande Prairie and District] Catholic Schools for over 25 years. As a Superintendent I was very involved in the community.”
