Home invasion in Horse Lake First Nation leaves one injured

Jun 12, 2018 | 10:42 AM

Beaverlodge RCMP are looking for the public’s help in identifying three masked suspects after a man suffered a gunshot wound in a home on the Horse Lake First Nation.

On June 9, RCMP were called to a complaint of shots fired at a home in the community. When they got there, the victim had been transported to a hospital in the area. The adult male is being treated for his injuries and police say he is expected to survive.

Upon investigation, officers found that the three suspects fled the scene once the assault happened and they believe this was a targeted attack.

The investigation continues with Grande Prairie Forensic Identification Section and the Grande Prairie General Investigation Section providing help to the Beaverlodge Detachment.
