RCMP arrest one individual following B&E in Bezanson

Jul 12, 2018 | 8:41 AM

The Grande Prairie RCMP have arrested and charged one man and are looking for another after a break and enter in Bezanson in May.

On May 9, just before 6 a.m. RCMP were called to Lefty’s Cafe and the Bezanson General Store in Bezanson where two males broke a window to gain access to the building and a significant amount of alcohol and tobacco products were stolen.

This past Sunday, a search warrant was executed and 37-year-old Johnathon Richard Anderson (pictured in the white hoodie) of Grande Prairie was arrested and charged. He has also been charged in relation to a break and enter at the Clairmont Inn.

Anderson faces nine charges including two counts of Break and Enter, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000, Disguise with Intent, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and one count of Mischief Under $5,000.

At the time of the incident, Anderson was on parole and was wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant. Anderson appeared in Grande Prairie court earlier this week.

The second suspect (pictured wearing the black hoodie) has yet to be identified.

Anyone with any information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Grande Prairie RCMP at 780-830-5700 or Crimestoppers 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS).
