Actor Burt Reynolds passes away at the age of 82

Film, TV, and tabloid star Burt Reynolds has died at the age of 82.

His death was confirmed by his agent, who provided no other details.

Reynolds, whose credits included acclaimed films such as “Deliverance” and commercial hits like “Smokey and the Bandit,” also had more than his share of flops and tabloid moments.

Those included an acrimonious divorce from former T-V star Loni Anderson and a nearly nude centrefold in Cosmopolitan magazine.
