A new report says Edmonton is expected to see an uptick in commercial real estate prices as a result of cannabis legalization.
The report by real estate firm RE/Max Commercial names the Alberta capital and Kelowna, B-C as “hot spots” in cannabis real estate.
It also says vacancy rates are expected to continue to fall and lease rates will rise moderately for the remainder of the year in Edmonton thanks to the arrival of Aurora Cannabis.
It says cannabis is adding additional demand to the overall commercial market — and that’s good news from a landlord perspective.
