Storm drop second straight on the road

The Sherwood Park Crusaders got goals from six different players en route to a 6-2 win over the Grande Prairie Storm on Saturday night. 

The Storm led 1-0 after the first on a goal from Connor Blake. 

But the Crusaders exploded in the second on goals from Michael Benning, Brayden Hyland, Brett Weischorster and William Zapernick to take a 4-1 lead after 40 minutes. 

A goal from the Storm’s Alex Nordstrom was sandwiched between markers from Nick Bowman and Arjun Atwal in the third to round out the scoring. 

Lars Kaliel made 30 saves in the loss for the Storm, who fell back to the .500 mark at 20-20-2.
