Total lunar eclipse Sunday night
Jan 21, 2019 | 6:53 AM
Last night, the moon, Earth and sun lined up to create a total lunar eclipse, which was visible throughout North and South America — and if weather permitted, even cross the Atlantic to parts of Europe.
There won’t be another total lunar eclipse until 2021.
It was also this year’s first supermoon, when a full moon appears a little bigger and brighter thanks to its slightly closer position.
