UPDATE:Extreme Cold Warning lifted

Feb 18, 2019 | 6:14 AM

** WARNING HAS NOW  ENDED**

———————————————————–

An Extreme Cold Warning has been issued for Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Valleyview and areas.

Environment Canada says a period of very cold wind chills is expected.

It will feel like minus 40 with the wind chill over parts of Northern and central Alberta this morning.

The temperatures are expected to moderate over the next few days.

If you’re heading outside, remember to cover up as frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with the wind chill.

And a reminder; if it’s too cold for you to stay outside, it’s too cold for your pet to stay outside.
