The Philip J Currie Dinosuar Museum is located 19 km west of Grande Prairie in Wembley, Alberta, 13 km from the largest horned dinosaur bone-bed in the world – the home of Pachyrhinosaurus lakustai. The museum sits on Highway 43, the heavily-traveled tourist route to Alaska with 10,000 vehicles passing by everyday!
DINOSAUR EXHIBITS
These alone are enough to hold attention for hours, from the dinosaur skeletons to the recreated bonebed to the real palaeontologists working in the lab to ‘a walk through time.’ Each visit will reveal something new to discover, especially as exhibits change!
OIL & GAS EXHIBITS
Did you know that the oil and gas richs in the region go back millions of years? Learn how events led to the abundance of natural resources here today.
CAFÉ on 43
Perfect for an easy meal during your visit or just come in for lunch! Eating at a dinosaur museum is certainly a unique experience.
CAFÉ on 43 restaurant hours are generally Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 8pm. Open to the community. No admission to the PJCDM needed to enjoy the café.
THE 70-SEAT AYKROYD FAMILY THEATRE
Watch dinosaur movies, documentaries, short films and more in the museum’s theatre. Rent it out for film screenings or movie nights and enjoy your own party in a beautiful museum. Stop by the 70-seat Aykroyd Family Theatre to catch a documentary or one of the special family movie matinees, open Thursday to Sunday. Art by Tim Heimdal. THE KALEIDOSAUR GIFT SHOP

THE GROUNDS
Explore the landscaped grounds and find some of our geological curiosities! Play for hours in our dinosaur themed playground! Pack a picnic and sit in the sun with snacks, absorbing everything you saw and learned inside the building.
SMART TECHNOLOGY CLASSROOMS
The level of technology combined with fast-paced and fun educational programs will have both adults and youth alike riveted as they learn about palaeontology, geology and natural resources.
