December 6, 1933 – November 4, 2021
Dad passed away in the early morning hours of Nov. 4/21, at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie. Words can’t express how wonderfully kind his care team on 4N was. You are all angels.
Floyd was born in Arthurette, N.B., the eldest of 10 siblings. Upon his graduation, he began a 27-year career in the Canadian Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force, Dad enjoyed a few different jobs before returning to the base in Beaverlodge as a civilian.
Dad loved to garden. It was a constant source of pride, and he so loved his flowers. Dad also enjoyed camping, fishing, and sports (in particular- golf and football). Steve and Dad golfed hundreds of different courses and had thousands of laughs during these rounds.
Floyd is survived by his wife of 66 years Lucy, daughter Cheryl (Dan Lemieux), son Steve, grandson Josh (Krista Berezowski), great-grandchildren Chloe (Chloe Funnell) and Richie, grandson-in-law Kris (Angela, Kirby Dean and Kaylee), and numerous other family members.
At Floyd’s request, there will be no funeral, but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
