Henry "Harry" George Rowney

It is with heavy hearts and much love that we announce the passing of Henry “Harry” Rowney on May 20, 2022, at the age of 89.
Harry was born on August 2, 1932, in Madden, Alberta. In his younger years he worked on seismic crews. In 1954 he married Margery Banta and they raised six children. They farmed outside of Crossfield, Alberta then moved to the Bear Lake area near Sexsmith, Alberta in 1962 where they successfully farmed for many years. Harry enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family. Travelling, camping, vacationing spending winters at Roadhaven resort in Apache Junction were some of his very special memories.
Harry will be sadly missed by his children: Karen (Sy) Mack, Joanne (Darcy) Sandboe, Maureen (Phillip) Crerar, Brian (Tracy) Rowney, Kevin (Shari) Rowney.
Grandchildren: David (Natalie) Rowney, Clinton Rowney, Nicole (Graham) Newton, Robert (Adria) Rowney, Sheldon (Sasha) Dodgson, Meagan (Nathan) Berteotti, Kelli (Levi) Sharkey, Logan (Jamie) Mack, Ryan (Heather) Sandboe, Darren (Melissa) Sandboe, B’Jay (Briana) Sandboe, Melissa (Joey Campbell) Crerar, Curtis (Laken LeBlanc) Crerar, Travis (Kayla) Crerar, Clayton (Shanna) Rowney, Kristopher (Ashley) Rowney, Carter (Danielle) Rowney, Ethan Rowney, Owen Rowney.
Great-grandchildren: Caylin Finch, Brianne Rowney, Taelor, Nicholas, Grace Rowney, Denver, Cody Newton, Tanner, Jennica, Caleb Rowney, Mason Dodgson, Liam, Bennett Berteotti, Letti, Brodi Sharkey, Jaxon, Cooper, Yvonne Mack, Colin, Morgan Sandboe, Paisley, Ryder Sandboe, Gwendolyn, Helena Sandboe, Kohen, Joelle Campbell, Mackenzie, Caidyn Le Blanc, Benjamin Crerar, Zac, Kaydence Crerar, Beauden Rowney, Anders, Brooks Rowney.
Twin great-great grandsons Walter and Ryker Rowney. He is also survived by his siblings Clementine Fleischer, Pat Dodd, Marj Barker, Dennis, David Rowney, Betty Lynn as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews.
Harry was predeceased by his wife Margery, son Richard, parents William and Christen Rowney and brother James Rowney.
