With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Vanesa Maaren.
Vanesa was raised in the small farming community of Ryley Alberta, where she completed her primary education. As an adult, she moved to Grande Prairie Alberta where she married and raised three children. She attended Grande Prairie Regional College and obtained her degree in music.
Since 2005, Vanesa was well recognized in and around the community of Grande Prairie for her successful cleaning business, where she left more than just a cleaning impression on people’s hearts.
Starting in 2001, Vanesa joined the family of Victory Church, Grande Prairie. This is where she expressed her love for music with the worship team and cultivated the hearts of many. Vanesa had the gifting to find anyone who was in need of love and support and always made a place for them at her table. Throughout her life, Vanesa’s door was always open to anyone in need.
Everyone who knew Vanesa, knew that she loved her family and loved life. She took every opportunity to be with her children and grandchildren, whether hosting at home or travelling long distances to visit. In all seasons of life, Vanesa was there to love and make lasting memories.
Vanesa was survived by her loving sons Aron Janzen (Aracely), Jesse Janzen (Hillary) and her daughter in law Amy Janzen, and grandchildren Zoe Janzen, Nixon Janzen and Jayse Janzen. She was also survived by many other friends and family who loved her dearly.
Vanesa was predeceased by her parents William and Erna Maaren and her son Jonathan Janzen.
There will be a celebration of life held on Saturday February 12th, 1:00pm (MST) at Victory Church, Grande Prairie. The family is requesting that you accept Jesus in your heart in lieu of flowers or donations.
