A gas theft and ramming of one vehicle by another in southern Alberta has led to charges against two people from Beaverlodge.

Airdrie RCMP say on Monday, a man thought he spotted a vehicle that was involved with a gas theft from a rural property in Rocky View County.

The suspect vehicle turned and rammed the other, leaving that suspect vehicle inoperable.

The man and woman inside ran away and we were seen breaking into a home.

RCMP later found the pair hiding in the attic.

Alexandru Sariu, 31, is facing 15 charges, including assault with a weapon and break and enter to a residence.

Shelby Sleith, 34, is facing seven counts, break and enter to a residence and mischief under $5000 among them.

Both have been remanded.
