Police in Edmonton say a man has been arrested in connection with threats to a United Conservative Party staff member.
Police say they were contacted Thursday evening about a threatening email and that due to the quote “violent and specific and nature” of the threat, they took an 18-year-old into custody without incident.
Abdul Anas Habash was charged with uttering threats.
Police say a search warrant was later obtained for a home in Edmonton, where they say investigators determined there was no risk to public safety.
