Update: Power restored across eastern Peace Region

UPDATE: Power has been restored in all affected areas.

ATCO Electric says power is out in area just South of St Isadore, to just South of the Highway 2A turnoff.

Affected communities include Nampa, Falher, Girouxville and McLennan.

The power went out a little after 1 am Sunday morning.

Crews are working to restore power and expect to have service back up by around 10 am.

Meanwhile, the City of Grande Prairie says the outage is also affecting landlines and possibly cell phone service in the Donnelly and Girouxville areas.

They add a temporary solution is being worked on, and that Telus expects to have landline service restored by noon.
