Applications open for UFA Rural Communities Foundation grants
Applications for the third round of $100,000 in grant funding from UFA’s Rural Communities Foundation are now open.
Foundation chair Harvey Hagman says help for rural communities is something that is badly needed right now.
“If it has a cultural, educational, or recreational component for their community. As an example, one of our first grant winners out of Onoway was doing a historical (facility) kind of like a museum and they built a shed that housed antique farm equipment.”
The program is in its third year. UFA had earlier committed to giving out $500,000 over five years. Hagman adds this program is in addition to what UFA already does to give back.
