COVID-19 outbreak reported at Ridgevalley Seniors Home

An outbreak of COVID-19 has been reported at the Ridgevalley Seniors Home, located south of Crooked Creek.

Alberta Health tells EverythingGP there are a total of 12 cases linked to the supportive living facility as of the end of day November 16. They add that all cases are active as of Monday.

As of November 16, there are 33 active cases in the MD of Greenview to go with 29 recoveries and one fatality related to COVID-19. Twenty-one of those active cases are in the Valleyview/Crooked Creek/DeBolt area.

Alberta Health also says that there are no active cases of COVID-19 at the Grande Prairie Care Centre as of Monday, which reported an outbreak earlier this month. The health authority says there have been a total of six cases linked to the facility, all of which are considered recovered.

Outbreaks of COVID-19 have also recently been reported in a surgical unit at the QE II Hospital in Grande Prairie, as well as the Fairview Health Complex.
